LOUIS ARMSTRONG

Louis Armstrong was born August 4, 1901, in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1922, Chicago bandleader King Oliver hired Armstrong to play second cornet. Armstrong quit Oliver's band a few years later and played with others on many recordings before returning to Chicago and playing in large orchestras. He was a very talented musician who played may instruments and we will remember his very good music.G.R
