Gil Scott-Heron
Gil Scott-Heron was born on April 1, 1949 and in Chicago,Illinois. Gil was raised by his grandmother in Jackson.Tennessee after his parents had divorced. He briefly attended school in his hometown and Gil published his first novel The Vulture at age 19. Gil attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.J.S
