maniac magee

is a great book that is about a boy named Jeffrey aka maniac Magee who runs from the west side to the east side and meets some friends and enemies. He meets a black family (Beale family) who takes care of him until he gets fed up with being talked about. That leads maniac Magee to sleeping in the zoo. luckily he is found by a zookeeper named grayson who takes care takes care of him all the way until he dies.        :(
